- Born an adorable little boy before Pearl Harbor, degenerated into a young man; showed promise in a first career, degenerated into a middle-aged man; plucked from the fire of unemployment and developed a successful second career, but degenerated still more; plucked as a burning brand from the real fire by the Lord Jesus through the regenerating work of His minister, have been further regenerating gradually; given the blessing of a noble wife, but can still be a real jerk, even now in old age.
